Volunteer!
There is a vision that those of us involved in the creation of this event share. It is one that encompasses a number of feelings and emotions that are natural to us all. They include generosity, compassion, competition, and progress. We all believe that we can make a difference. The ultimate desire is for this event to grow and become a success for years to come. While such a goal is not an easy task to manage on one’s own, in order for this to truly be a success, we will need the help of eager volunteers looking to make a difference. Many of the volunteers that attended the 1st Annual Hockey for Horizons Ball Hockey Tournament will be returning, however, there is always room for more volunteers!!!! Hockey for Horizons is seeking volunteers to fill such roles as:
- Collect donations on behalf of Hockey for Horizons
- Tend information tables (fundraising info and tournament operational info)
- Keep grounds clean (help clean up litter from event)
- Sell beverage, food, and refreshment tickets
- Referees and timekeepers
- Donate equipment or supplies to the tournament
- Coordinate with media (i.e. newspapers, radio, television)
